Marine Parade, Weston-super-Mare
Two men were helped from the beach at Weston-super-Mare by firefighters using a hovercraft.
The crew were on a training run when they noticed the two teenagers waving to get their attention. The pair had walked approximately half a mile out from the Grand Pier but had become exhausted as they tried to make their way back.
Firefighters helped the 16 and 17 year olds from knee-deep mud onto the hovercraft before safely returning them to the shore.
The incident follows a recent warning not to venture too far from the shore after the rescue of eight people from mud flats at the resort.
