M5 Southbound junctions 19-20

A horse has died following a road traffic collision involving two horse trailers.

When crews arrived they found the vehicles on top of one another.

Two people were involved – a woman in her 40s who was cut out of one of the vehicle’s cabs by firefighters using hydraulic cutting equipment. She was taken to hospital.

The second female involved was treated at the scene by ambulance crews.

A vet was called to attend and treated two horses for minor injuries but sadly a third horse died at the scene.
