Crews called to property fire

Marlborough Street, Bristol

Crews from Temple, Southmead, Hicks Gate, Bedminster, Kingswood and Patchway were called to reports of smoke issuing at 22:32.

On arrival, crews found a kitchen fire on the second floor of the property. 

Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus and searched the premises to ensure that all persons were evacuated. 

Crews used one 45mm jet to extinguish the fire, followed by positive pressure ventilation fans and thermal imaging cameras to make sure the scene was safe.

The cause of the incident is thought to have been accidental ignition.
