Crews called to shed fire

Howard Road, Westbury Park

We were called to reports of a shed fire on Howard Road at 09:07.

On arrival, crews from Temple, Avonmouth and Southmead found one garden shed well alight with the fire affecting neighbouring fence panels.

With one firefighter wearing breathing apparatus and further crews wearing personal respirators, firefighters used two 45mm jets and two high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire.

Crews spent time cutting away and removing affected fencing, and also used thermal imaging cameras to check that the scene was safe.

Firefighters also spent time damping down the scene.

The cause of the incident is thought to have been accidental ignition.
