Crews respond to laundry room fire

Leigh Street, Southville

Crews from Bedminster and Temple were called at 17:45 to reports of a fire at a public house. On arrival, firefighters found a fire in the laundry room of the property and used one high pressure hose reel, one 45mm safety jet and one 45mm covering jet to extinguish the blaze. Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus for safety and a positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fan was used to clear smoke.

The cause of the fire is thought to have been accidental ignition.
