Crews mobilised to fire at residential property

Southfield Road, Westbury-on-Trym

Crews from Southmead and Temple were called at 11:46 to reports of a fire at a residential property. On arrival, firefighters found a fire in the floorboards between the ground and first floor of the three-storey property. Crews gained access to the affected area using small tools and used two high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for any remaining hotspots.

The cause of the fire is thought to have been accidental ignition.
