Crews respond to fire at residential property

Crews from Southmead were called at 15:22 to reports of a fire at a residential property. Firefighters found that the fire, which was isolated to a microwave, had been extinguished prior to our arrival. A positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fan was used to clear the smoke and a gas monitor and thermal imaging camera used to check the safety of the scene.

One male casualty was assessed at the scene by firefighters.

The cause of the fire is thought to have been accidental ignition.
