Crews called to flat fire

Dutton Road, Stockwood

Crews from Temple, Bedminster, Kingswood, Avonmouth, Yate and Hicks Gate were called to reports of a fire at 15:29.

On arrival, crews found a fire affecting the first floor of the property.

Fire crews rescued one casualty who was inside the property.

The casualty was conveyed to hospital by ambulance colleagues. 

With ten firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, crews extinguished the fire using three high pressure hose reels, one 45mm covering jet, one 45mm safety jet and used a positive pressure ventilation fan for smoke clearance. 

A fire investigation conducted on January 24 was unable to determine the cause of the incident due to the extent of the fire. 

Police colleagues were also in attendance.
