Crews called to building fire

Stapleton Road, Easton

Crews from Temple and Bedminster were called at 12:25 to reports of smoke issuing from a building.

On arrival, firefighters found a fire outside the basement access doors of the four storey building. They used one jet and one high pressure hose reel to extinguish the flames and a positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fan to clear smoke. Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus for safety.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental ignition.
