Crews mobilised to fire at residential property

Lower Clifton Hill, Clifton

Crews from Temple and Bedminster were called at 7:15 to reports of a fire at a residential property.

On arrival, firefighters found a fire in the basement and used a high pressure hose reel to extinguish the flames. A positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fan was used to clear smoke and two firefighters wore breathing apparatus for safety.

All persons were safely evacuated.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental ignition.
