Crews called to laundrette fire

Filton Road, Horfield.

Crews from Southmead, Temple and Kingswood were called at 14:42 to reports of a fire at a laundrette on Filton Road, Horfield.

On arrival firefighters evacuated all persons from the building.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two high pressure hose reels, a safety jet and small gear to extinguish the blaze. A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to remove smoke from the property.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.

Police and ambulance are also on the scene.
