Crews mobilised to fire in residential flats

Baldwin Street, Bristol

Crews from Temple and Bedminster fire stations were mobilised to reports of a fire in a residential block of flats.

On arrival, firefighters found a kitchen fire caused by a faulty cooker extraction hood.

Crews used two breathing apparatus for safety, two 45mm jets to extinguish the fire.

They also used a thermal imaging camera was used to identify hot spots.

Crews carried out further work on scene to ensure the property was left in a safe condition and organised to return at a later date to talk to residents about fire safety.

Police also attended the incident to control the traffic.

The cause is thougtht to be accidental.
