Smoke coming from waste management building in Filton

Gloucester road, Filton, Bristol

Firefighters from seven engines and a turntable ladder were called to a recycling centre which was issuing large volumes of smoke. 

Four pumps remained at the at the scene, along with a turntable ladder and a command and welfare unit throughout the day. Crews used one jet and turntable ladder to extinguish the fire.

Residents in the area were advised to keep windows and doors closed.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
