Firefighters called to fallen tree

Crews from Hicks Gate were called to reports of a fallen tree affecting an overbridge and lamp posts.

Firefighters used a chain saw and PPE to make the area safe.

Council colleagues have been informed of the incident.

90 people die each year because the battery in their smoke alarm was flat or missing.
