Crews mobilised to house fire

Bath Road, Keynsham

We were called at 12:24 to reports of a house fire on Bath Road, Keynsham.

Crews from Kingswood, Hicks Gate and Temple attended and found a small fire located in the kitchen of the two-storey property.

Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus for safety and crews used one high pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

We were joined at the scene by ambulance colleagues, who treated one male casualty for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental ignition.
