Crews mobilised to van fire

Crews from Bath fire station were mobilised to reports of a van on fire.

On arrival, firefighters found the van well alight and that two cartridge size gas cylinders had exploded before their arrival.

Crews used two breathing apparatus for safety and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters remained on scene to dampen down following the incident.

The cause is thought to be accidental.

Candles cause more than five fires a day.
