Crews called to grass fire affecting nearby building

Crews from Hicks Gate and Bath fire stations were called to a grass fire affecting a derelict changing room.

On arrival, firefighters used two breathing apparatus for safety and one high-pressure hose reel and 45mm jet to extinguish the fire.

The cause is thought to be deliberate.

On average 1,400 fires per year occur in caravans.
