Crews called to combine harvester fire

Three crews from Bath and one from Hicks Gate fire station were to a combine harvester on fire at a farm.

On arrival, three firefighters in breathing apparatus used three high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire, before damping down the area.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.

On average 1,400 fires per year occur in caravans.
