The death of Her Majesty The Queen

Simon Shilton, Chief Fire Officer of Avon Fire & Rescue Service, said: "It is with great sadness we receive news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II. We are deeply saddened to hear the news and offer our sincere condolences to the Royal Family at this sad time.  

“As a Service, all staff at Avon Fire & Rescue Service join the Royal Family and the rest of the world in mourning this great loss. 

"As a mark of our deepest respect for Her Majesty The Queen for her unwavering and dedicated service to our country the Union Flag will be flown at half-mast at Police and Fire headquarters."
