Charity rugby match hosted in aid of Firefighter with bowel cancer

Firefighters from Avon Fire & Rescue Service (AF&RS) are set to host a charity rugby match in aid of Firefighter Ollie Hatfield, who has recently been diagnosed with bowel cancel.
Ollie is an On-Call Firefighter for Portishead, and is also part of the Urban Search and Rescue Team (USAR) based at Hicks Gate Fire Station.
The aim of this charity rugby match is to raise money to support Ollie and his family during this difficult time, some proceeds will also go to the Firefighters Charity.
The rugby match will see AF&RS vs. The Old Blues (incl. Bristol Airport Fire & Rescue) at Gordano Rugby Club on 3 September 2021.

Friday 3 September 2021
Entry: 6pm onwards, Kick-off: 7pm
£5 entry
Location: Gordano Rugby Club, Caswell Lane, Portbury, Nr Portishead, BS20 7UF.
A charity raffle and auction will be held to support the cause, and firefighters are currently calling for donations to support the event.
