Guy Fawkes Night, also
known as Bonfire night is an annual celebration held on 5 November
to mark the Gunpowder Plot of 5 November 1605 where Guy Fawkes
attempted to destroy the Houses of Parliament in London.
Firework safety tips
Your best bet is always to go to a properly organised display,
but if you do decide to celebrate at home I've come up
with some easy tips to follow.
- Always wear gloves when using sparklers, and put them in a
bucket of water afterwards.
- Never play with fireworks.
- Stand well back.
- Always be with an adult.
- Keep pets indoors.
So, celebrate safely, always follow the Firework
Code and have a ‘Totally Brill’ Bonfire
Night!
