Avon Fire & Rescue Service (AF&RS) provides
emergency and protection services to the communities of Bath and
North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South
Gloucestershire - an area of 134,753 hectares and a population of
over one million.
There are 23 fire stations in Avon, covering a varied
area ranging from densely populated cities, to rural
villages. You can find your local station by entering your postcode
into the red box on the right hand side of this

Each station has its own page with lots of information
including a detailed map of the area the station covers,
the Station Plan and how many appliances are on each
station. Choose from the list on the left.
Stations are crewed by firefighters in one of three ways,
find out about the different crewing systems
Last year AF&RS received 25,386 emergency calls. Find out

Station visits
All our 23 fire stations are available for events or station
visits.
The hours we like to keep within at Wholetime stations are:
morning visits 11am - midday, afternoon visits 2pm - 3pm
or after 6pm. Visits to Retained stations are generally kept
to their drill nights, find out more on the individual station
pages.
We can only accommodate around 20 people per station visit, so
please give us a call if you have any queries on 0117 926 2061
