Avon Fire & Rescue Service's fire stations

Avon Fire & Rescue Service (AF&RS) provides emergency and protection services to the communities of Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire - an area of 134,753 hectares and a population of over one million.

Stations are crewed by firefighters in one of three ways, find out about the different crewing systems

Last year AF&RS received 25,386 emergency calls. Find out more about the Control Centre where 999 calls are handled.


Station visits

All our 23 fire stations are available for events or station visits.

The hours we like to keep within at Wholetime stations are: morning visits 11am - midday, afternoon visits 2pm - 3pm or after 6pm.  Visits to Retained stations are generally kept to their drill nights, find out more on the individual station pages.

We can only accommodate around 20 people per station visit, so please give us a call if you have any queries on 0117 926 2061 extension 477/478, or request a station visit using the online form. Please specify which station you would like to visit.

Escape Routes
If there was a fire would you and your family know how to get out? The best way out of your home is the way you regularly come in, but make sure you have other escape routes in case it is blocked. Make sure escape routes are clear of obstacles.
