Welcoming our communities
We are reaching further into the communities we serve
with our Community Safety Centres (CSCs).
The CSCs are not only a hub for safety advice, but they also
provide meeting room space, Internet access and conference
facilities, free of charge to members of the community.
CSCs help contribute to the safety and well-being of our
community, helping protect them from fire and other hazards. The
centres provide easy access to information, education and
advice at the heart of the community.

In October 2006 Chair of Avon Fire Authority, Councillor Terry
Walker, opened the Speedwell Community Safety Centre
(CSC).
Speedwell CSC is currently used by a first time mums’ group.
They visit the centre once a week to meet with other mothers with
children aged 0-6 months. The Health Visiting Team also runs infant
massage and first aid courses at the centre.
