Year station built: Bath fire station is a listed building that was first opened in 1938
Type of duty system: Wholetime and Retained Duty System
Area covered by fire station: About 119 square kilometres, of which about two-thirds is rural and one third built-up. As the names suggests, Bath Fire Station is located in the historic City of Bath which has a large number of listed buildings such as Royal Crescent, The Circus and Bath Abbey.

Fire appliances: Two 1800 Litre Water Tenders, one Turntable Ladder, one Rescue Tender, one Water Safety Unit and one Retained 1800 Litre Water Tender.
Other information: Bath is one of the largest stations and it also has the longest pole drop in the service.
The Bath Locality Office housing Bath Area Fire Safety and the Arson Task Force is also based here.

Would you like to visit Bath Fire Station?

All our 23 fire stations are available for events or station visits.
The hours we like to keep within are; morning visits 11:00am - 12 noon, afternoon visits 2pm - 3pm or after 6pm.

For station visits, we do have a restriction on numbers of around 20 per visit, so please give us a call if you have any queries on 0117 926 2061 extension 477/478, or fill in the online station visit request form. Please specify which station you would like to visit.
