Two teenagers had to be cut free from their car by firefighters following a single vehicle road traffic collision.

On arrival crews found a silver Peugeot 206 car had been in collision with a tree. One teenage male, who had been in the car at the time of the collision, had freed himself before the arrival of the fire service, however a teenage male and female remained trapped.

Both casualties were stabilised by paramedics from Great Western Ambulance Service while hydraulic cutting equipment was used to remove the roof, side doors and driver's seat from car. The pair were both removed on spinal boards as a precaution.

All three occupants of the vehicle were conveyed to hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.
