A driver and a pedestrian have been taken to hospital after a
car crashed into a shop window.
When firefighters arrived on the scene they found a pedestrian,
a man in his 40s, already on a stretcher and being treated for
suspected back injuries by paramedics.
The female driver of the Skoda Octavia car, thought to be in her
70s, was suffering from suspected back injuries so firefighters
stabilised the vehicle before using hydraulic cutting equipment to
remove the roof of the car.
The woman was then assisted on to a spinal board and taken to
hospital.
