Crews from Speedwell, Keynsham and Temple were called to a fire
on a new housing development.
On arrival crews found a three-storey show home well alight,
with the fire affecting all levels right up into the roof.
Ten crews in breathing apparatus entered the property, using
four high pressure hose reels to put the fire out.
A thermal imaging camera was also used to detect any
hotspots.
As it was a show home there was no-one inside or the property
next door, but the fire badly damaged the showhome and affected the
house next door.
We also used the hydraulic platform to remove the tiles on the
roof to ensure the fire was completely out.
The cause is thought to be
accidental.
