RTC sparks fire

Tuesday 30 December
21.38 Passage Road, Henbury

Firefighters were initially called to reports of a car on fire, but on arrival at the incident they found a road traffic collision involving one vehicle. The Rover car appeared to have hit a wall and a lamppost and then caught fire.

Four males in their 20s were out of the vehicle when firefighters arrived, however oxygen therapy was given to the driver, who was suffering from shock.

All four males were taken to hospital suffering from suspected neck injuries and one suffered a suspected broken wrist.

The road was closed for around 30 minutes while crews dealt with the incident and then washed down the road.
