Tuesday 30 June
14.04 Temple Way, Bristol
Crews from Temple Fire Station actually heard this collision
from the appliance bay of the station and literally had metres to
travel to get to the scene of this RTC (Road Traffic
Collision).
The RTC was between two vehicles - an HGV shunted into the back
of a car at the intersection of Temple Way, with Temple Back.
The driver of the HGV was unharmed, but the female driver of the
car needed assistance.
Working alongside paramedics, firefighters cut the roof of the
vehicle off using hydraulic cutting gear and helped assist the
woman onto a spinal board.
The inside lane of the dual carriageway was closed during the
incident and police were on the scene to manage
traffic.
