Following a multi-agency meeting this morning (Friday 15
January) work to bring the ongoing incident involving the BOC depot
in Whitby Road, Bristol, to a conclusion will begin later
today.
Avon Fire & Rescue Service appliances, including the High
Volume Pump, remain on the scene and it is expected that over the
course of today there may be additional emergency vehicles in the
local area. However, every effort is being made to ensure
disruption is kept to a minimum.
All the agencies involved in this incident would like to thank
those affected for their continued patience and understanding.
Members of the local business community have received an update
on the latest situation via text message.
At this stage there is no intention to extend the cordon around
the BOC depot, but should the need for this arise, those affected
will be informed at the earliest opportunity.
