Staff from Bevan Brittan LLP solicitors helped promote fire safety
messages to Hartcliffe residents when they teamed up with
firefighters from Avon Fire & Rescue Service (AF&RS)
recently.
The seven-strong
team joined fire crews and staff from the service’s Community
Safety department as part of a nation-wide volunteer day.
During the visits,
the group talked to residents about fire safety and also helped to
install smoke detectors in properties.
Area Manager Brian
McCutcheon from AF&RS said: “We are delighted that Bevan
Brittan’s employees chose to help us in our work to help make our
community safer.
“We hope that as
well as encouraging local residents to think more about staying
safe, that they learned a little about fire safety too!”
Bevan Brittan
LLP Chief Executive Andrew Manning added: "This was one of the most
ambitious firm-wide projects we have undertaken and involved nearly
300 staff including partners, fee earners, secretaries and support
staff."
He added: "It
was also a wonderful opportunity for the firm to be able to give
something back to our clients and, most importantly, to many of the
communities around us."
