A pregnant miniature horse has been rescued by firefighters after
it got stuck in a ditch filled with watery mud.
When crews arrived on the scene they found six year old Cleo,
who is approximately 30 inches high, unable to get out. It’s
thought she may have been in the ditch for a couple of days.
Using the specialist animal rescue equipment from Bath Fire
Station, crews managed to get a sling around Cleo and working
alongside a vet she was assisted out of the ditch by firefighters
using lines.
Cleo appeared to be uninjured, just a little
cold.
