Man rescued after fall in loft

One pump and the rescue tender from Bath Fire Station were called to reports of a man, who had collapsed in his loft.

On arrival crews found a man in his 70s, who had had a stroke and was unable to move.

Firefighters assisted paramedics in getting the man on to a paraguard stretcher and he was then lowered vertically through the loft hatch and down the stairs. He was then taken to hospital by ambulance.
