Man cut from car following two-car collision

A man had to be cut out of his car by firefighters after he was hit by another vehicle while waiting at traffic lights in Bristol City Centre.

 

The man, thought to be in his 30s, was believed to have sustained injuries to his legs and chest following the collision. Firefighters using hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof and part of the driver’s door. Working alongside paramedics, they then lifted the man out of his vehicle on a spinal board and he was transferred to hospital.

 

The driver of the other car was thrown out of his vehicle following the collision and was later taken to hospital by ambulance.
