A male driver died
and his passenger seriously injured after the car they were driving
collided with a HGV during the early hours of Saturday morning.
With considerable
damage caused to the front of the vehicle, crews used hydraulic
cutting equipment to remove the roof and make space to allow the
passenger to be lifted out of the car on a spinal board.
He was then taken
to hospital by ambulance.
