The weekend’s downpours threatened to derail a concert in Bath by newly-reformed 90s boyband Boyzone after an area close to the stage became flooded.

With water threatening the electrics under the stage, firefighters were called to the scene to clear the flood. In an operation that lasted over two hours, and accompanied by the dulcet tones of Ireland’s finest, crews created a sump to drain away the majority of the water and cleared the excess using a light portable pump.
