Firefighters have rescued a horse after it became trapped in a
muddy ditch.
When crews arrived on the scene they found Leonard completely
exhausted after his own attempts to get out of the ditch.
Working quickly firefighters managed to place strops around the
animal and using the farmer’s tractor the horse was lifted out of
the ditch under supervision from a vet.
He was then seen running around the field none the worse for his
ordeal.
