Fusebox fault sparks fire

20.20 Lower Burlington Road, Portishead

An electrical fault in a fusebox is thought to have started a fire which damaged a flat in Portishead.

When crews arrived on the scene they found the fire in the fusebox and smoke logging in the hallway. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus (BA) to tackle the fire using a CO2 extinguisher and dry powder extinguisher.

The thermal imaging camera (TIC) was brought in to check for hot spots and positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fan brought in to disperse the smoke.
