Frosty kitten rescued from tree

Sunday 7 December
10.47 Badgers Way, Worle, Weston-super-Mare

A nine-month old frost covered kitten had to be rescued by firefighters after spending two chilly nights stuck 20ft up a tree in Worle.

A small crowd gathered as crews tried to coax Lola down with some tasty tuna. However the kitten refused to budge – until firefighters and their ladder came to her aid.

To the cheers of the gathered audience Lola was reunited with her grateful owner. Despite two nights stuck up a tree in freezing conditions, Lola was none the worse for wear following her ordeal.
