Friday 18 June
08.45 Wells Road, Totterdown, Bristol
Firefighters have been dealing with a chemical spill
after a lorry carrying a synthetic water-based adhesive spilt its
load all over the road.
When crews arrived on scene the lorry had come to a standstill but
a pink chemical was leaking from the back of the vehicle and down
the road.
Crews managed to prevent the bright pink liquid entering the drains
and then worked alongside the Environment Agency and Bristol City
Council to determine the nature of the chemical, which was found to
be non-hazardous.
The incident was then left in the hands of police, Bristol City
Council and the Environment Agency.
