05.09 Pine Road, Brentry, Bristol
Crews were called to a severe fire in a ground floor kitchen of
the property.
On arrival they found a 64-year-old woman outside the house, but
her 74-year-old husband was still inside.
Crews wearing Breathing Apparatus entered the property and
found the man, who was suffering from smoke inhalation. Both he and
his wife were taken to hospital.
The fire is believed to have started accidentally, by the fridge
motor burning out.
