Club house destroyed by fire

A timber club house used by a golf driving range has been destroyed in a fire.

When firefighters arrived at the scene they found the building well alight with a propane cylinder involved in the fire.

Firefighters tackled the fire using two high pressure hose reels and two jets. They also moved a further six cylinders from the back of the premises away from the fire.

The cylinder involved in the fire was placed into a nearby stream to cool it and stop it from exploding.

It’s not clear how the fire started.
