Caravans and cars go up in smoke

The burnt out wreckage

Tuesday 1 July

02.56 Two Mile Hill, St George, Bristol

Seven vehicles, including three caravans, have been set alight by arsonists.

Crews were called to a caravan storage park in the early hours after flames were spotted.

On arrival they found four cars and three caravans well alight. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using jets and a high pressure hose reel for damping down.

Crews also made safe a number of gas cylinders and managed to stop the fire spreading any further.

No one was hurt during the incident and an investigation into the cause has revealed the fire was started deliberately.

The vehicles were all completely destroyed.
