Originally formed in October 1954, the Avon Fire &
Rescue Service Band has had different titles associated with the
fire service over the years, but the connection with Avon goes back
to 1974. Throughout this time the band has welcomed musicians from
all walks of life.
The band takes part in a wide range of public
performances throughout the year in places such as Bath, Bristol,
Cheltenham and Chippenham, including several charity fund raising
