The AF&RS Service Management Board (SMB) is
responsible for the strategic decisions and operations of
AF&RS. It has to ensure AF&RS provide efficient,
effective and economic prevention, protection and response services
for the public and businesses within its four unitary
authorities.
The Board work on behalf of Elected Fire Authority members and meet
every week.
The SMB consists of the Chief Fire Officer/Chief Executive
Kevin Pearson, Deputy Chief Fire Officer Jerry O'Brien, the
directors of Finance & Asset Management (James Dack),
HR & People Development (Maggie Harte) and Service
Improvement (Lorraine Abrahams), the Assistant Chief Fire Officer
with responsibility for Operational Response, John Dando and the
Assistant Chief Fire Officer with responsibility for Risk
Reduction, Dave Salmon.
