Letter of thanks for attendance to Golden Hill Sports Ground, Party in the Park

Thank you for supporting Party in the Park on Saturday. We had an excellent day, the weather was superb, and there certainly was a large turnout (approx 3,500). It really felt that the event achieved its aim of “bring the community together”.

It seemed to work well that the Fire Engine was present for a while and then the police turned up shortly after the fire engine left, this created something different.

Naturally we hope you would like to be involved next year.

Many thanks

Would you pass on our thanks to the Crew who all did a marvelous job. Thank you once again for your support which is very much appreciated.

Yours sincerely

Secretary High Littleton and Hallatrow Village Day Committee.

Letter of thanks for fire appliance visit to Easter Compton Carnival

Just a quick note to say thank you for attending our Carnival this year. The procession was the longest and noisiest for years, and the number of attractions in the field was larger than ever.

The profit raised is around £2,200 which is FANTASTIC especially when you take into consideration the credit crunch.

This money goes towards such items as new chillers for the two bars and the payment of sharply increasing gas and electricity prices. It also allows The Halls to be used rent free by a number of key community groups. Please visit our revamped website – www.eastercompson.org – for details of forthcoming events such as Bonfire Night on 5th November.

Thank you again for your commitment.

Handwriting 2 August 2009 Letter of thanks after rescue from RTC by Bath (12) Blue Watch

Dear Chief Officer,

I am writing to you on behalf of my wife and myself. On Sunday 2 August we were involved in a road accident at Rushhill – Odd Down. Your fire crews were on the scene very quickly and along with the other emergency crews were absolutely brilliant.

While cutting us out of our car they kept both of our spirits up. In these days of cost cutting exercises by governments and local authorities I can only say you and your staff are worth every penny and many times more.

Luckily my wife and I both were not seriously injured and realise how lucky we are.

Once again thank you all.

Yours sincerely

Letter of thanks for boat rescue

I wish to send my sincere thanks to the many officers who came out on Sunday 26 July to rescue me from the engine room of my boat. I was trapped there and in some considerable pain and everyone did their best to avoid creating even more discomfort as I was finally lifted out.

I’m making a good recovery after suffering a dislocation of my hip and severe bruising and swelling of my chest and hip.

I enclose a contribution for your Benevolent Fund in gratitude.

Yours sincerely

Letter of thanks from Cub Scouts, 67th Kingswood (1st Mangotsfield)

Thanks for two group visits to 10 Kingswood Fire Station, on 02 and 06 July 2009

Thank you very much for organising our visits to Kingswood Fire Station, it was much appreciated and the Cubs really enjoyed it.

Thursday Cubs got to use the hoses and although Monday Cubs visit was cut a little short, they did get to see the crew in action when they got a call to a real shout – Blues and Twos – Fantastic (thankfully it was a grass fire and hopefully no one was hurt).

Over the past few months the Cubs program of activities has been around the theme of ‘Super Heroes’ and this has fitted in well as the Cubs believe Firemen are the Real Super Heroes.

Please pass this note and our thanks on to both RED and WHITE  watches, it was a real treat for the Cubs.

Typing 7 July 2009 Letter of thanks for fire appliance visit to St Barnibus School, Warmley Fayre on 03 July 2009

I would just like to express my thanks for organising the fire appliance to attend at our school, St Barnabas, Warmley, last Friday 3 July.

It was a fabulously successful evening, with the sun shining all day and turning into a lovely warm evening.

The fire crew that attended were great. They were most patient with the children and so helpful and kind.

Everyone enjoyed the evening and I can’t thank the fire crew enough.

Thanks and donation of £25 following fire appliance visit from Kingswood to Hanham Abbots Junior School, Hanham

The Friends of Hanham Abbots wish to say a huge thank you to the Fire Service for bringing along a fire appliance vehicle and the presence of firefighters from Kingswood Fire Station at our Summer Fayre last Friday.

The appliance was a popular attraction and lots of people enjoyed a close-up view and I’m sure the presence of the firefighters, along with the PCSOs from the local police station, not only kept our fayre safe and trouble-free, but also helped promote good relations between the rescue services and the public.

The fayre was an extremely successful evening (we were so lucky with the weather) and everyone agreed there was a fantastic atmosphere, making it the best fayre we’ve had to date.

The total amount raised for the school on the evening was an incredible £4,200 which will go towards refurbishing a part of the school to provide a new food technology area for the children.

This, I’m sure, was a high figure because of the range of attractions combined with a wonderful, safe family atmosphere aided by the presence of your team.

I understand there was no charge for the attendance but would like to make a donation of £25 to the Firefighter’s Charity (cheque enclosed).

Thank you once again
Yours sincerely

Dear firefighters from Paulton Fire Station,

Thank you so much for visiting the Cabin on Monday. The children loved it and have not stopped talking about you since then. They have been playing putting out fires and rescuing people who are stuck. They are very little but I’m sure they will always remember your visit, especially the siren and the water spraying out of the big hose!

Thank you again,

Thanks for a Roadskills Presentation at Patchway Community College

On behalf of Patchway Student Centre, can I thank you sincerely for your excellent presentation this morning. The content and style of presentation was outstanding, and extremely well suited to the Year 12 target audience. I have spoken to several students informally after the presentation, and they have all taken on board the messages from the presentation and they said that it will make them twice before putting themselves in particular situations. Please pass on my thanks to all of the guys who came this morning, and I hope to meet you again in the near future as we will definitely be requesting this presentation again.

Thanks for 09 Temple Fire Station Red Watch's assistance on 23 January 2009

Typing Dear Mr Jackson and company, we must congratulate you sir on your men and in particular the most professional attitude of the watch in the dark hours of Friday 23/01/09 into the early hours of Saturday 24/01/09. They had a call to the ("Central Travelodge" on Anchor Road.)

My elderly infirm mother-in-law was with us in the lobby of the hotel and due a strenuous travel down six flights of stairs, she also suffers from mini strokes (T.I.A's). She had just slipped into one as your guys were about to leave and very calmly professionally asked us if they could be of assistance. They straight away called a ambulance through your control room. Until the paramedics arrived they very calmly spoke to my mother-in-law and explained what they were doing at every stage. They hooked up some oxygen and put a silver foil blanket also to help.

We just can't thank the crew enough that night there was the potential of a bad situation being made a lot worse due to the overall farceity of the nights proceedings. I could truly sympathise that they eventually managed to find out that the reason that they got called to the Hotel was to a malicious call-point break. This of course is one of your crews dispatched to a malicious incident which they were not needed for and there could be a much more serious incident on the other side of the city in which they could have been put to a much  better use.

In conclusion me and my family must pass on the greatest thanks possible to your crew that attended the Hotel that night.

Thank you for Road Safety Presentation by 04 Patchway Fire Station Red Watch on 04 December 2008.

Handwriting I would just like to thank you for coming to our school on the 4 December.

The presentation given out by your colleagues was breath taking and I watched all the reconstructions and what could happen in different situations and it really made me think. At one point when the mum was telling the story I could feel I was getting quite upset.

My boyfriend and older mates I have all drive cars and as soon as the presentation finished I quickly reminded them of what I have just seen.

It is good what you do in the schools and local area. It really opened my eyes and made me think. I think I will go on to become a safer driver and continue to keep my mates safe drivers.

A big thank you to Ross who gave the presentation and all the crew that attended.

Thank you very much
