Business Continuity Management

Business Continuity Management

As an emergency service it is vital that we take steps to ensure we can continue to carry out our work no matter what challenges or disruptions we may face – this is called Business Continuity Management.

Organisations classed as Category 1 responders are required by law to address the issue of Business Continuity.

At its meeting on 21 July 2005, Avon Fire Authority approved the publication of a set of business continuity management guidelines which have been made available throughout the organisation in our Standard Operating Procedures manual. These guidelines form the basis of our corporate management of business continuity issues.
