Charity challenges

It must be something to do with the values of the fire service, but at Avon Fire & Rescue Service many of our staff are dedicated to raising money for charity. They take part in a wide array of fundraising challenges, ranging from driving a Landrover over 4,000 miles on cooking oil, to cycling, canoeing and running across The Gambia.

Much of the fundraising is for GAFSIP - Gambia and Avon Fire Service in Partnership but there are other charity's close to Avon Fire & Rescue Service's heart, including the The Fire Fighters Charity

In this area you can find out all about challenges, listed on the left-hand-side.

Escape Routes
If there was a fire would you and your family know how to get out? The best way out of your home is the way you regularly come in, but make sure you have other escape routes in case it is blocked. Make sure escape routes are clear of obstacles.
