What meetings do members attend?

Avon Fire Authority (AFA) members meet regularly to make decisions on all non-operational matters.  The AFA and its committees meet at Avon Fire & Rescue Headquarters, Temple Back, Bristol, BS1 6EU and members of the public are welcome to attend. Find out when the AFA meetings take place.

Members attend the following meetings:

  • The Avon Fire Authority meeting
  • The Standards Committee meeting
  • The Special Purposes Committee meeting
  • The Appointments Committee meeting
  • The South West Regional Management Board

Notices of all committee meetings are posted seven days prior to the meeting, in the reception window at Avon Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters, Temple Back, Bristol, BS1 6EU.

Hoax calls endanger lives, as our crews may not be available to deal with a real emergency. If you make hoax calls your telephone number can be traced and cut off. Hoax calls can lead to a fine and criminal record
